About this hackathon

The Student Innovation & Product Summit (SIPS) 2026 is a national innovation competition organized by the Centre for Software & IT Management (CSITM), IIM Bangalore . The summit provides undergraduate students with an opportunity to showcase technology-driven solutions that address real-world challenges through functional prototypes. SIPS exists for one reason: to give your best work the stage it deserves. Bring your software project, your prototype, your idea and walk away with recognition, feedback, and a push toward what's next. Themes: Participants may submit their project under one of the following themes: AI & Intelligent Systems Digital Trust & Infrastructure Tech for Impact Eligibility: Open to undergraduate students from recognized colleges and universities across India. Team Size: 1-3  members per team. Inter-college teams are allowed. Each team may submit only one project under one theme. Competition Structure: Round 1 – Online Submission Teams must submit a 7-slide PDF presentation describing their project. Submissions will be evaluated based on innovation, technical quality, feasibility, impact, and presentation. The top teams from each theme will advance to the next round. Round 2 – Video Pitch Shortlisted teams will submit a 4–5 minute recorded video pitch , an updated project deck, and a prototype link for evaluation. Grand Finale: Finalist teams will be invited to IIM Bangalore to present their projects through a live pitch, prototype demonstration, and jury interaction.
