IKIGAI 2026 – National Level Hackathon IKIGAI 2026 is a premier national-level hackathon designed to bring together innovative minds, developers, designers, and problem-solvers from across the country to collaborate, innovate, and build impactful technology-driven solutions. The event aims to foster creativity, inclusivity, and the practical application of emerging technologies while encouraging participants to solve real-world challenges through innovation and teamwork. Eligibility Guidelines Open to all Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Diploma students, and recent graduates from recognized institutions. Participants from all academic disciplines are welcome. Inter-college teams are allowed. Inter-specialization teams are allowed. Team Size: 2–4 Members Each team must mandatorily include at least one female participant. A participant can be a member of only one team. Hackathon Tracks Participants may build projects under any of the following tracks: Sports Analytics & Artificial Intelligence CPS Powered Smart Agriculture Cyber Security & Privacy Industry 5.0 & Intelligent Automation Smart Healthcare Social Innovation & Digital Governance Hackathon Format Round 1: Online Idea Submission & Evaluation All registered teams will participate in the online evaluation round. Teams will be required to submit: Problem Statement Proposed Solution Technology Stack Project Overview Submissions will be evaluated based on innovation, feasibility, impact, and alignment with the selected track. Screening & Shortlisting Following the online evaluation, submissions will undergo a screening process by industry experts and mentors. Teams demonstrating strong problem-solving capabilities, innovation, and execution potential will be shortlisted for the Offline Grand Finale. Round 2: Offline Grand Finale Duration: 36 Hours Dates: 21–23 August 2026 Shortlisted teams will participate in an intensive 36-hour hackathon where they will design, develop, and present their solutions before a panel of judges and industry experts. Prize Pool Total Prize Pool: ₹1,03,000 Exciting cash prizes, certificates, recognition, and networking opportunities await the top-performing teams. Submission Requirements Teams must submit: Source Code Repository (GitHub or equivalent) Project Documentation Project Presentation/Pitch Deck Demo Video (if applicable) Deployed Application Link (if applicable) Judging Criteria Projects will be evaluated on: Innovation & Creativity Technical Excellence Problem Relevance Scalability & Feasibility User Experience & Design Presentation & Demonstration Overall Impact Participant Guidelines Every participant must carry: Valid College ID Card Government-Issued Photo ID Personal Laptop Laptop Charger Extension Board (Recommended) Headphones/Earphones (Recommended) Participants are responsible for bringing all hardware and accessories required for development. Rules & Regulations Teams must primarily build their solution during the hackathon duration. Open-source libraries, frameworks, APIs, and AI tools may be used. Plagiarism or submission of previously developed projects will lead to immediate disqualification. Participants must maintain professional conduct throughout the event. Any form of harassment, discrimination, or misconduct will result in immediate removal from the hackathon. Decisions made by the organizing committee and judging panel shall be final and binding. Organizers reserve the right to modify schedules, rules, or judging criteria if required due to unforeseen circumstances.
